crab spider diet, when exploring the rainforest of costa rica, there's one thingi can guarantee. it's that you arecertain to come across many difference speciesof creepy crawlies.

i don't know what speciesof scorpion that is, but it's got one wicked stinger. while each and everyone is intriguing, one of my personalfavorites was definitely the taylor swift scorpion. i'd like your camera on.let's see if i can get him. got him. - [voiceover] nice. - yeah. look at that.

down here at the waterfallsearching for water anoles, i flip over a log, and thisguy comes scurrying out. look at those antennae.look how long they are. and these are the sensory organs that they use to exploretheir environment. primarily nocturnal, sohe's probably a little out of his element like thisin the daylight, again, just sits still on my handthere out here searching for other little invertebratesthat they can feed on.

you can see thosepedipalps up front there. there are a bunch ofbig spikes on them, and i imagine that to catchhis prey, he thrusts those out, grab things, and then shovethem into the mandibles. what's really coolis that it can hold on the under side of things. if i tilt him likethis, look at that. all those littlehooks in his feet just keep him right in place.

that is so cool. and when i had iton my face earlier, i could feel all those tinylittle hooks going into my skin. hmm hmm hmm hmm. hmmm hmm. wow! that thing really does look like a little alien fromanother planet. but then again, here in thecosta rican rain forest, seems like everythingis out of this world.
